Privacy Policy

How Ship A Car, Inc. collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information, and the choices you have.

Effective date: July 16, 2026. This policy replaces and supersedes the version dated January 21, 2014.

Ship A Car, Inc. (“SAC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a vehicle transport and freight brokerage headquartered at 11471 W Sample Rd, Suite 30, Coral Springs, FL 33065. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through www.shipacarinc.com (the “Site”) and by phone, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site or requesting a quote, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you request a quote, book a shipment, contact support, submit a damage claim, or apply for a job, we may collect:

  • Identifiers and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and pickup and delivery ZIP codes or addresses.
  • Shipment details: vehicle year, make, model, operating condition, equipment or freight descriptions, dimensions, requested dates, and any notes you include with your request.
  • Transaction information: quotes provided, orders booked, payment status, and records of shipments we arrange for you. If you pay by credit or debit card, the card is processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on the Site.
  • Communications: emails, call recordings or notes, text messages, and reviews or testimonials you choose to submit.
  • Job applicant information: resumes and related details you send to our careers mailbox.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site we and our service providers collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and approximate (city-level) location, using cookies and similar technologies described in Section 5. Our quote form also uses first-party cookies to carry the details you enter (such as ZIP codes and vehicle information) from one step of the form to the next.

We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, biometric information, or the contents of consumer credit reports.

2. How We Use Personal Information

  • To prepare quotes and arrange the transport services you request, including dispatching your shipment to a motor carrier.
  • To communicate with you about your quote, order, pickup, and delivery by phone, email, and text message.
  • To process payments, maintain records, and handle damage claims.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including analytics and troubleshooting.
  • To market our services, including measuring the performance of our advertising.
  • To comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect our rights, customers, and carriers.

3. How We Share Personal Information

We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information for money.

  • Motor carriers and drivers. To perform the service you request, we share your name, phone number, pickup and delivery locations, and shipment details with the FMCSA-licensed carrier assigned to your move.
  • Service providers. We use vendors that host the Site, operate our customer relationship management system, process payments, provide phone and text messaging services, and provide analytics. They may process your information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement, and Cloudflare web analytics, which set or read cookies or receive device information as described in Section 5. Where this activity is treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under applicable state law, you may opt out as described in Section 7.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of SAC, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers. If SAC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

4. Text Messages and Phone Calls

When you submit a quote request with your phone number, you consent to receive calls and text messages from SAC about your quote and shipment, including through automated systems. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies with your shipment activity. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing any service. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop marketing calls by telling any representative or contacting us using the details in Section 12.

5. Cookies and Analytics

The Site uses the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies, including the first-party cookies that carry your quote-form entries between steps and keep the Site functioning.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics (to understand how visitors use the Site) and Cloudflare web analytics (aggregate performance measurement).
  • Advertising measurement: Google Ads conversion tracking, which helps us know when an ad led to a quote request or phone call.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. If you block essential cookies, parts of the quote form may not work.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above: generally for the life of your customer relationship with us plus the period required for tax, transportation, insurance, and legal record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified. Quote requests that never become orders are retained for a shorter operational period before deletion from active systems.

7. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and a growing number of other states), you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of sources, purposes, and third parties with whom it was shared.
  • Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for completed shipments).
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money; if our use of advertising cookies is considered sharing in your state, you can opt out by using the cookie controls in Section 5, enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser (which we honor where required), or contacting us.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by these laws in the ordinary course of business.
  • Non-discrimination. We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.

How to exercise these rights. Call us at (866) 821-4555 or submit a request through the contact form at www.shipacarinc.com/support/contact-us/. Tell us which right you are exercising and the state where you live. We will verify your request by matching information you provide (such as name, email, and phone number) against our records, and we will respond within the time required by your state’s law (generally 45 days, extendable where permitted). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request; we will require proof of the agent’s authority and may still verify your identity directly. If we decline a request, residents of certain states may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will explain the outcome of the appeal.

California residents: the categories of personal information we collect are described in Section 1 (identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet activity, and inferences drawn for service quality); the sources, purposes, and disclosure recipients are described in Sections 1 through 3. We have not sold personal information for money in the preceding 12 months.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle, including encryption of Site traffic (HTTPS), access controls, and network protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; if a breach affecting your personal information requires notice under applicable law, we will provide it.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is a business service for arranging vehicle and freight transport and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a child provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals; there is no common industry standard for responding to them. We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing where state law requires it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
